Splat Washables Purple Swag Temporary Hair Color

splat

I decided to give this a try after watching a fellow youtube vlogger by the name of muchmorethanbeauty’s tutorial. They sell this product at both walmart and Target as well as online for anywhere between $3.99-$5.99. I found it at Burlington Coat Factory in The beauty section for $2.99.

It comes in a small tube with a small brush to use to apply to the hair that looks similar to a mascara brush. It has the same consistency as the regular splat temporary hair color.Make sure to cover your surfaces and wear gloves to cut down on your clean up time but unlike the original splat temporary dye this color will easily wash off of surfaces and your hands with just a little soap and water.

I divided my hair into four sections and then applied the color to each of the four sections as I would do hair lotion or leave in conditioner making sure not to stain my scalp. The hair color comes out the tube very fast and a little goes a long way. Once I applied all the color I wanted I used a diffuser to set the color until it was totally dry. Once dry my hair felt like I had a heaver product in it but it did not feel brittle or hard.

If I had to rate this product from 1-10 I would give it a 9. The colors are very bright and vibrant and one tube is good for two uses depending on how long your hair is and how much of the product you choose to use. This product is a good medium between Hair Shadowing and Deep Conditioning Color. Hair shadowing can last you up to a week. Deep conditioning color can last you up to a month and these splat washables will last you until your next shampoo.

Here is a photo of my hair prior to coloring:

I would definitely say give this a try!

  • I am absolutely in love with your hair, and all of the color combinations you use. I’m still very curious though?? How did u begin to lighten your hair without bleach? I’m coming from black??

Cinnamon and honey treatments gradually lightened my hair applying twice a month for close to a year.

  • Does this rub off on clothes, etc?

It will flake like a powder on clothes but can wipe right off. the key is to avoid spraying the color where it may touch your clothes.

  • I love you hair! It looks great with that color. I too use splat, normally permanent in purple desire mixed with some conditioner to give a more pastel look. This looks like a good alternative to the permanet. I might just give this a try. Thanks for posting!
