I’ve always worn my hair naturally as a child, whether it’d be in twists or in braids. I can thank my mom for that.

Patience. Care. Awareness.
Any advice to the natural newbies?
The natural hair journey takes some patience, so be sure to take care and love yourself every step of the way. Have a solid support system of family and friends that care for you.
What was favorite compliment someone has ever given you on your hair?
I was at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York last year, and as I was taking a picture by the Temple of Dendur, this little girl from a school group came up to me to tell me I had pretty hair, and wanted to get hers done like mine. It was the cutest moment ever, and it warms my heart to see kids loving natural hair.
If you could only watch one natural hair vlogger on youtube who would it be? why?
Either Chescalocs or Jasmine Rose. They both promote positive messages of self-love and patience, and they both have a great sense of humor that I appreciate. I don’t know if I could choose one over the other!
